How Does DH2005 MapTool Lite Work?

• Open the app and click 🗣️ CHAT (or Hunting Buddies).

• Type a message in the bottom input box and hit Enter or click Send.

• Open a second instance or check back in a few seconds to see incoming messages from other hunters!

MapTool Lite is a lightweight background application that automatically shares and synchronizes custom maps (.spk files) with other players seamlessly.

• Runs Silently in the Background: Once launched, it runs quietly in your Windows system tray (bottom-right corner). It requires no setup, opens no extra windows, and won't slow down your game.

• Auto-Detects Missing Maps: It periodically checks for online players. If another player has a custom map that is missing from your game folder, the tool detects it automatically.

• Direct Player-to-Player Transfer: Missing maps are downloaded directly from other players and saved straight into your CustomLevels folder—no manual file moving required.

• Keeps You Notified: You will receive a brief desktop notification popup in the bottom-right corner whenever a download starts and finishes.

• "Sync Now" Option: If a friend just added a new map and you don't want to wait for the automatic cycle, simply right-click the system tray icon and select Sync Now to trigger an instant check.

In short: just launch it once, and all new custom maps will automatically appear in your game without any extra effort!
